Annova LNG at Sombrero Fest

BROWNSVILLE, TX (FEB. 25, 2016) — Annova LNG, through its majority owner Exelon Generation, is proud to join forces with Sombrero Festival 2016 to support this celebrated community event and participate in the Frijolympics competition. Annova LNG's support comes through a $5,000 contribution, and company representatives will be present to provide information about the proposed liquefied national gas project at the Port of Brownsville and answer questions.

Annova LNG will also enter into the Frijolympics contest with a team called "Bean Wars." Using a fourth-generation South Texas family recipe, the team hopes to take the winning prize.

If built, Annova LNG would invest nearly $3 billion in construction costs and support an average of 700 on-site jobs over a four-year period. Upon completion of the plant, Annova LNG would employ approximately 165 permanent full-time workers to run and manage the plant.

About Annova LNG

Exelon Generation and Annova LNG are exploring the development of a mid-scale natural gas liquefaction and transfer facility at the Port of Brownsville. If built, the facility would provide a much-needed boost to the economy in Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley. With an investment of as much as $3 billion in the facility and associated infrastructure, the Annova LNG Brownsville Project would diversify the regional economy and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs from construction through operation. The project is designed with a footprint that minimizes environmental impacts and meets or exceeds state and federal safety standards. To become a reality, Annova LNG must clear three hurdles: successfully complete all regulatory applications, reviews and permitting processes; secure long-term customers; and the project must enjoy broad public support.
