Letter to the Editor: LNG Plant Supported

Editor:

I'm proud to call Brownsville home. It's where I was born and raised, where I'm raising my son and where I intend to spend the rest of my life.

I welcome the Annova LNG Brownsville Project to the community and encourage all other Brownsville residents to do the same.

As a working mom, I hope Annova will call the Rio Grande Valley home for generations to come.

The development of a state-of-the-art natural gas transfer facility puts the region at the cutting edge of clean, safe energy production and delivery. Industry experts predict liquefied natural gas will someday fuel many of the power plants around the world now burning coal.

Hundreds of high-paying jobs building and running the facility will fund home sales, school improvements, new businesses and countless other economic benefits in Brownsville and other towns in the Rio Grande Valley.

That means opportunities for my child, something every mother wants! I look forward to a long and happy relationship between the Annova LNG Brownsville Project and the Rio Grande Valley.

Let's all welcome our new neighbors.
